Manchester School of Architecture has always been a dream place for an architecture student, such as myself, to further their studies in the architecture course. It is highly ranked in the QS ranking among other universities in the UK and it is the best architecture school. MSA is located half a mile from the city centre which is a very strategic place to pursue my study as it is easy for me to shop for supplies or going on a field trip. It is equipped with supremacy facilities which are very convenient for the students.

The recent art exhibition that I went is the art expo held in MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur in October 2017. The MATRADE building is a huge and enormous which can be seen clearly by the people around it. The modern and urban design of the building attracts the attention of the passer by. The hall is wide and spacious. It was filled with hundreds of artworks from the east to the west wing of various types such as sculpture, painting, drawing, photo collage, contemporary and many more that have unique style of producing them. With all of the magnificent and amazing artworks exhibited, I found myself captivated with and constantly coming back to view an artwork entitled ‘The Human Mind – Reflection 3’. The artist used lots of ropes that linked to one another in a chaotic way and there are many paper balls of different sizes that can be touch by the viewers since it is an interactive art.

Taj Mahal is one of my favourite buildings and it is one of the seven wonders of the modern world. It is considered as the most tremendous architectural achievement in the whole range of Indo-Islamic architecture. Its recognised architectonic beauty has a rhythmic combination of voids and solid, convex and concave like arches and domes further boosts the aesthetic aspect. The colour combination of lush green scape reddish pathway and blue sky over it show cases the monument in ever changing tints and moods.

A work of architecture that I would love to experience is the Piano House in Huainan City in China. This magnificent structure was designed by Hefei University of Technology to commemorate advancements in Huainan City. The Piano and accompanying violin entrance are built on a legitimate 50:1 scale, perhaps making them the largest to scale instruments in the world. The building has meeting rooms, escalators and space to host weddings and other events. At night the piano and violin light up with fluorescent lighting outlining the amazing structures. I would really love to take a picture with the piano house as the background as I know it will be a very valuable photo.
